Jacquelyn Sheehan has worked primarily with children, families and women as a social worker for the past 7 years after graduating from Stony Brook University with her MSW. She currently works for Stony Brook University in the Women in Science and Engineering program on initiatives to address the under representation of women and women of color in the STEM fields. During her pregnancy, Jacki became passionate about childbirth, perinatal care, and postpartum support. Shortly after the birth of her child, she became a birth doula, childbirth educator and MamaMoon volunteer. Helping pregnant people and parents see their own strength during vulnerable and challenging times is her vocation.
